I love using Castor and coconut oil for my lashes.  My lashes just love this oil!  My lashes really grow…long! I am quite uncomfortable using the over the counter and definitely the prescribed lash growers.  It does take time but certainly worth the wait.

What do you need?

Organic Castor Oil;  I use Heritage organic castor oil.

Raw organic coconut oil.

small glass bowl

Mascara wands from Sally Beauty store or you can purchase online.

S-111: Alternative Methods To Fading Stretch Marks

The secret to stretch marks is to treat the area by starting the “fading” process as soon as you notice it.  The skin is made up of  three layers: 1.  Epidermis- outer layer  2.  Dermis-middle layer  3. Subcutaneous-deep layer. These -not-so pretty marks are created in the dermis.  The collagen and the elastin tear in your skin creating a stretch mark.  The collagen is no longer strong and red scars  appear under the epidermis.  As time progresses the scars appear as a silver line on your skin.

1.  Drink your water! Remember that remaining well-hydrated in treating scars is a must.  Did you know that water actually brings back the “elasticity” of your skin?  Avoid beverages that dehydrate your body  such as coffee, tea and soda.  Include  topical Vitamin C as a strong aid in the  healing of stretch marks or scars.  Vitamin C increases collagen production and helps in the skin discoloration.

2. LEMON/CUCUMBER solution:   Use a fresh cotton pad and apply lemon /cucumber mixture – 50/50-  to stretch marks and leave it on no longer than  5-10 minutes. Use a juicer if you would like to press the juice  (Omega juicer).

3. Aloe Vera and Vitamin E are excellent for any scaring type of skin challenge.   Repeat at least several times through out your day.

4.  Rose Hip Oil : wonderful in healing scars.

5.  Olive oil  (a fatty acid) is one of my most favorite for so many skin conditions.  The olive oil is loaded with antioxidants!

6.  Jojoba oil (wax ester/fatty acid) penetrates the epidermis and helps in the healing of  your skin.

7.  Manuka honey stimulate collagen production .  Apply three times a day and leave on for 15 minutes.

Be consistent in massaging the area using the essential fatty acids  because this will help break up the fibrous connective tissue.

The greatest thing that you can do in your skincare is to be consistent.

S-86: Go Green by cleansing your face with oils.

Show notes summary-Podcast topic:  Oil Cleansing: Thank you for listening! (      min).  Complete message listen to podcast.

I just adore my face oils!  There are so many to choice from and that’s what makes oil cleansing so wonderful.  You skin will let you know which oil it enjoys most. The secret to using oils is knowing how to use them and today I’ll share my secrets!  Listen to my podcast for complete message on how to use these fabulous oils. Great for acne-oil dissolves oil!

1.  Organic Coconut oilYummy! I truly enjoy using  Organic coconut oil on my skin! It has so many beneficial properties that assist in the healing of the skin regardless of your challenge.   The power can be found in the 12-carbon atom chain length -lauric acid  which stomps on bacteria and viruses even fungi! This is what is referred to as a medium chain fatty acid which is considered a healthy fat and easily absorbed into the body. Fabulous moisture without anything harmful!  If you use fake eyelashes coconut oil helps remove the glue left over.

Use it for your entire body!

2. Organic Castor Oil: draws the impurities directly out of your skin for a truly clean feeling-Cleansing and exfoliating in a natural and gentle fashion.    Castor Oil is anti-inflammatory which makes it great in fighting pre-mature aging and healing acne. Castor oil can be quite drying so be sure to mix with another oil.

3. Olive Oil– contains incredible antioxidants that your skin will love! Polyphenols-one being hydroxytyrosol.

Acne:  If you suffer from acne sometimes those “over the counter” products worsen your skin challenge by clogging your pores. You truly need your natural oils to keep your skin healthy and many of these products on drug store shelves strip you of these oils and the heavy laden chemicals in these products further irritate your skin.
